Directions to Cornerstone

BY
SUBWAY:
Take the Red Line to Alewife and exit by the stairs towards the rear of the
train.
When you exit the building, head straight ahead, crossing the
street, towards the playing fields.
At the playing fields, turn left and continue on the path behind the bleacher.
When the path exits the field, turn right onto Harvey
Street.
The coho begins with the first building on the other side of
the street, and stretches
on up Harvey. After you walk past the first long building, turn left down the
driveway to reach
the common house (175 Harvey), which is set back from the street.
BY CAR
FROM THE MASS PIKE OR 128N:
Take 128N off the Mass Pike and exit onto Route 2E.
After 6 miles, take the left-hand exit for
Routes 16E/3N (labeled
Arlington/Medford).
Turn right at the first light (Mobil gas station) onto Massachusetts
Avenue.
In less than half a mile, you’ll come to a traffic light, where a huge sign on
your right indicates
Buy-Rite Liquors. Cedar Street forks off to your right.
Take Cedar Street and turn right almost immediately at the blinking light onto
Harvey Street.
The Coho is several blocks down the street, on your
right. It is a group of contemporary yellow buildings
just past Cambridge Lumber.
FROM 93N:
Take Exit 29 – Somerville/Everett. Go down ramp, staying to
the left.
Go straight through two close lights and stay right. Follow the sign for N93-38
Lawrence.
Merge right onto Route 38N.
Go 5 lights past the entrance to 93N on right, Staples on left. Stay in
the left
lane.
At the 5th light, get in far left turning lane and turn left onto Harvard Street.
Go 3 lights. At the blinking red light (Powderhouse Circle), make a right into
the rotary,
go halfway around, and follow the sign for Davis Square onto College
Avenue.
Continue to the bottom of the hill, and at the complicated five-way
intersection,
go straight across (actually slightly angled to the right) through
Davis Square onto Dover.
You will have the Somerville theater on your right at
that corner.
Take Dover to the end, which is Massachusetts Avenue, and turn right onto Massachusetts.
Take a left at the second light onto Harvey Street.
The Coho is several blocks down the street, on your
right. It is a group of contemporary
yellow buildings
just past Cambridge Lumber.
From 93S:
Take the exit for Route 16E (about exit 31).
Go straight through the light at the exit ramp onto Harvard Street.
Follow the directions above, beginning at “Go 3 lights.”
FROM WATERTOWN:
Take route 16E (Mount Auburn Avenue).
When you come to Mount Auburn Cemetery on your right,
turn left onto Aberdeen,
following 16E.
After a block, turn right onto Huron.
NOTE: From here on, the directions are intended for non-rush-hour driving –
they are main
streets and therefore very crowded during prime time.
Alternate directions are below at the

After another block, take a left onto Fresh Pond Parkway (routes 2E and 3N)
Stay following that road. You’ll navigate two rotaries
and go over a bridge. As
you drive over
the bridge, you’ll see Alewife T station looming ahead on your
left.
At the light at the end of the bridge, turn right onto Rindge Ave.
In several blocks, you’ll come to an intersection with a
couple of low brick buildings on your right.
Take a left there, onto Jackson Street,
which is a one-way street.
Jackson ends at Harvey Street, right in front of the
beginning of the Coho buildings.
Turn left onto Harvey, which is also a one-way street, and park.

Alternative To
Above
After a block, cross over Fresh Pond Parkway and continue on Huron for several
blocks.
The road will curve left and go steeply uphill.
Continue through the light at the top of this hill. At the next light, take the
far left onto Sherman,
staying to the right of the fire station.
Sherman ends on Rindge – turn left there.
Turn right just after the cemetery onto Jackson Street, a one-way
street.
Jackson ends at Harvey Street, right in front of the
beginning of the Coho buildings.
Turn left onto Harvey, which is also a one-way street, and park.
FROM
DOWNTOWN BOSTON:
Take Storrow Drive to Route 2 towards Cambridge and follow the
"From Watertown"
directions
above, starting at “NOTE.”
PARKING:
On Sundays, you can park on the street.
At other times, you should arrange
with a resident to use their parking permit during your stay.
